T urner Funeral Home was originally established by John Turner in 1925. After the death of John Turner, his son, Archie Turner took over the family business. One funeral home family passed on Turner Funeral Home to another funeral home family when Turner Funeral Home was purchased by the Smith Family in 1982. The name was changed to Smith & Turner Mortuary a few years later.
